The winter chill has settled upon the Cape, but fear not, music lovers and animal enthusiasts! We’ve got just the remedy to warm your heart and bring a smile to your face. Get ready to wag your tail at the incredible Woofstock Volume 3 at The Armchair Theatre in Observatory on 29 and 30 July.

This remarkable two-day event is a fundraiser like no other, dedicated to supporting the Cape of Good Hope SPCA. They’ve got great activities planned that will leave you begging for more, including a Tattoo-a-thon, an exciting Saturday Thrift Market, and performances by the city’s most animal-loving and excellent Woofstock performers.

Woofstock

Like many other animal rescue organisations, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA has been inundated with many animals in need during this cold season. Animals are being surrendered or left without shelter and food due to the recent flooding that has affected humans and our furry friends. In times like these, our community must come together to make a difference. That’s why 100% of all proceeds from this event will directly support those in need.

The noble and talented artists involved have all generously contributed their skills and time to this worthy cause. With their support, the event aims to make a significant impact on the lives of these animals.

The Line-up

Prepare to be dazzled by the lineup of artists who will grace the Woofstock stage.

On Saturday, brace yourselves for the infectious beats, thought-provoking lyrics, and undeniable charisma of Angie Oeh, the powerhouse vocals and the fierce stage presence of Elle E. The rest of the lineup includes The Loneliest Monk, Hartleyvale, Moskitos, Thylasine, Lost//Youth, Venus & The Snake, Face & the Features, We Kill Cowboys, Metro Villa and TOUGHGUY.

I can’t play any musical instruments or sing, so this is my contribution to the local music scene — which I love immensely. I can’t touch my toes, but that has held me back only slightly in life. My hobbies include reading, beer, bringing up Let’s Get Local when no one asked, writing, and surprising people with my pool skills. I believe somehow all of this will lead me to Dave Grohl.
